PIGG'S POINTS
Overall
"I thought the guys competed really well. It was their first 10k fo the season and they were ready for the challenge. They ran smart and executed the last half of the race really well. Early in the race we were 12th and just continued to move up. When it came time to really grind our guys showed up." -- Head Coach Jeff Pigg
Â
Individually
"Nathan had another great run. It was his fastest 10K ever including track or cc. He continues to improve and I'm proud of how he competed today. I think once the final NCAA selections are made he will miss a trip to in the finals by one place. He was in the mix and left it all out there."
Â
"Rob really stepped up today. He has had nagging injuries all season long but he refused to let them slow him down on race day. He has been a huge part of developing our culture."Â
Â
"Leo has really stepped up his game this season. It was great to see a strong 10K to finish out the year."
Â
"Aidan ran fantastic. Not many freshmen excel at 10K. He trains hard and that work shined through today. He has been a great addition to our team and made an immediate impact."Â
Â
"Jared Vazquez rounded out our top 5 with a very strong second half. He has grown so much this season. He has embraced the work and craft of racing 8 and 10K cross country. It's helpful for the XC team and it will pay big dividends on the track."
Â
"Andrew Stivers and Anderson Bobo were 6th and 7th. They also ran strong finished the XC season on a very strong note."
