Men’s Tennis Bows Out of ITA Southeast Regionals

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The North Florida men's tennis squad bowed out of the ITA Southeast Regionals on the second to last day of competition in Gainesville Oct. 26.

The Ospreys had four players in action across three matches, with two singles matches and one doubles bout occurring Saturday.

The host Gators' Duarte Vale topped sophomore Dominik Barton in the round of 32 in the main draw of singles, while UF's Blaise Bicknell got Joe Ellis in the round of 32 backdraw.

Federico Nani and Nilo Duarte had a great chance to advance to the quarterfinals, although a tough Georgia State tandem of Andrei Duarte and Roberts Grinvalds held them off, 8-6.
