LEADERBOARD: The North Florida women's golf team carded a program best 5-under 283 led by sophomore Daniela Gonzalez's career low 68 to hold the top spot at the Palmetto Intercollegiate following Sunday's opening round action at Turtle Point.
FIRST TEE
- Sophomore Daniela Gonzalez led the way on day one, shooting a 4-under 68 to earn a share of the individual medalist lead
- Senior Sydney Shrader joined Gonzalez in the Top 5 after posting a 2-under 70 (T5th)
- Sophomore Liss Davalos (72) and junior Sara McKevitt (73) were also ranked among the Top 20 individuals, listed T14th and T20th, respectively
- Junior Mindy Herrick rounded out the Osprey lineup with a 75 (T43rd)
- The Ospreys are in front of the 22-team field by six strokes
- Gonzalez is currently tied with Jacksonville State's Claire Vermette for medalist honors
