Senior Guard Dishes Out 11 Assists
KENNESAW, Ga. - Senior guard Ty Purifoy had a record-setting day for the Ospreys, dishing out a UNF - Division I record 11 assists to set up four double-digit scoring performances in North Florida's 71-60 win at Kennesaw State (5-14, 1-5 ASUN) Tuesday, January 29.
The senior eclipsed the 10 assists she registered at Liberty January 19, tying the previous school record since UNF transitioned to the Division I level in 2006.

Inside the First Half
UNF (8-11, 3-5 ASUN) set the tone early, racing out to an 11-0 lead by the 5:25 mark in the first quarter. Kennesaw State scored its first points with 3:02 remaining i the first, cutting the lead to 11-2. Emanuel-Wright added another bucket, but both teams struggled to convert the rest of the first frame as UNF took a 13-4 lead into the second quarter.
UNF's lead hovered around nine until a Bond lay-in on a fastbreak expanded it to19-8. Kennesaw State turned in its best sequence shortly after, going on a 14-5 run to narrow the Osprey lead to 24-22. That was as close as KSU would get the whole game, as Eremeeva added a pair of free throws and Purifoy provided three points, giving UNF a 29-24 halftime advantage.
Inside the Second Half
Both teams matched each other with 19 points in the third quarter. Bond led UNF in the session with eight points, while KSU's inside presence in Alexis Poole countered with 10 points. The Ospreys finished out the game by shooting 50 percent from the field in the fourth, including 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
Osprey Fast Breaks
- Purifoy's 11 assists are tied for the third-most in school history. Krista Wynn recorded 13 in 1995, which still stands as the all-time record.
- Before Purifoy's 10 assists at Liberty January 19, the last time a UNF player had notched 10 assists was when Juliemay Syquio did so in 2010.
- UNF held Kennesaw State to only 49 field goal attempts today, marking a season low for any opponent this year. KSU's 15 three-point field goals attempted tied a season low.
- Eremeeva tallied her third double-double of the season and first since doing so at Colorado State December 2, 2018. She's second on the team in double-doubles behind Jazz Bond, who has four.
- Bond scored in double-figures for the 11th time this season despite having her four-game double-double streak snapped.
- This is the third time Emanuel-Wright has scored 20 or more points this season.
- UNF led for the entire 40 minutes of play.
- Kennesaw State's six minute and 58 second scoring drought to start the game was the longest such period without scoring to start the game for any opponent this season.
- North Florida was outscored 13-0 in bench points, but the Ospreys got the better end of play in the paint. The Navy and Gray outscored KSU 38-28 in the lane and tallied 11 second chance points to just four for the Owls.
- KSU's four points in the first quarter is a season low for any opponent in a single quarter.
- This is the seventh time UNF has had a game with at least 10 steals.
