Jacksonville, Fla. – The North Florida Baseball team picked up a 4-2 victory over Lipscomb on Friday night at Harmon Stadium in ASUN play.
LEADING OFF
- Four Ospreys had two hits to lead the offense as
Tanner Murphy,
Blake Voyles,
Mac Wilson and
Chris Matthias all had two knocks.

Frank German threw seven innings as he scattered four base hits and allowed two earned runs in route to his seventh win of the season. German struck out nine in the contest as he matched his season-high for the fourth time this year.
- With his nine strikeouts, German now has at least seven strikeouts in his last 10 starts.
- With the win, German moves into the top spot in the D1 all-time record book for wins with 17.

Jay Prather with his double to lead off the eighth inning extended his reached base streak to 32 games in a row. Prather also has a team-high 14 game hit streak.
- UNF is now 4-2 in ASUN series openers this year and is also 19-2 when out-hitting its opponent.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening frame the Ospreys picked up right where they left off on Sunday in Fort Myers as Voyles doubled down the left field line to score Murphy and give UNF a 1-0 lead.
- Wilson lined a single through the left side to score Voyles and put the Ospreys up 2-0.
- After a leadoff single from Lipscomb, German mowed through the Bisons sitting down the next 14 batters with three 1-2-3 frames.
- In the sixth, Lipscomb got on the board with a two-run double to right center that tied the game at two apiece.
- UNF responded with a run in the next half inning as
Chris Berry drew a bases loaded walk to make it 3-2 Ospreys.
- The Ospreys added an insurance run in the eighth after Prather came into score on a Lipscomb wild pitch to give UNF the 4-2 win.

The Ospreys continue their weekend series with the Bisons tomorrow afternoon as first pitch is slated for 2:05 p.m. UNF will honor its seven seniors prior to first pitch on Saturday afternoon.
