Women's Tennis Returns Home to Continue ASUN Play

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women's tennis returns to Jacksonville to host Lipscomb and Kennesaw State on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

LIPSCOMB

The Bisons dropped a 4-3 decision to FGCU last Thursday and continue conference action with a 1-1 record. Lipscomb picked up its first ASUN win against Kennesaw State last Sunday.
Kateryna Popova leads the team with a 12-2 dual mark and primarily plays in the No. 2 position.
Viktoryia Dzyuba plays in the No. 1 spot for the Bisons and has a 6-7 dual match record.
Dzyuba teams up with Denise Buberl in the No. 1 spot for doubles competition and are currently undefeated with four wins.

KENNESAW STATE

The Owls are coming off a 7-0 loss to FGCU on Saturday and will face Stetson this coming Thursday before taking on the Ospreys.
Alexandra Mercado and Jessica Cantrell both lead KSU with five wins in dual play. Mercado plays in the No. 1 spot while Cantrell plays in the No. 4 position.
Mercado grabbed ASUN Player of the Week in March after going 2-0 in the No. 1 spot against Presbyterian and Wofford.
Laura Hopton teams up with Mercado in doubles action and post a 2-3 dual match record.
