Men's Tennis Signs Dominik Barton

JACKSONVILLE - Fresh off its ASUNÂ Championship, North Florida men's tennis announces the signing of Dominik Barton to the 2018-19 roster as announced by head coach Matt Lucas.
"I am beyond excited to welcome Dominik to the UNF family," said Lucas. "He is an incredible young man, tremendous student, and clearly will be one of the top incoming recruits in the entire country. His extensive experience on the ITF Pro Circuit will serve him well in adjusting to college tennis, and I expect him to make an immediate impact here at UNF! Swoop!"
Barton hails from Koprivnice, Czech Republic and currently holds an ATP ranking of #1416. As one of the top 30 players in the Czech Republic across all ages, he finished as a quarterfinalist at the F38 Futures in Egypt. During that tournament he defeated world ATP #394 and #634 players. Barton has a Universal Tennis Rating of 13.54 in singles and 13.86 in doubles.Â
Barton will join an Osprey squad that had back-to-back ASUN regular season championships and two ASUNÂ Tournament titles in the past three years.
