The short story: Senior Courtney Cobb fired back-to-back rounds under par on the opening day of play of the Charleston Invitational to lead the women's golf team into a tie for fifth at Rivertowne Country Club.

- Courtney Cobb carded rounds of 70-71 to end the first day tied for second with a 3-under 141
- Sophomores Sydney Shrader (73-74=147) and Teresa Conroy (74-74=148) joined Cobb in the Top 20, ranking tied for 18th and 20th, respectively
- Junior Kaye Kwon ended the day T53 after rounds of 76-79 (155) and freshman Mindy Herrick rounded out the Osprey lineup with scores of 79-78 (157) in a tie for 63rd
- Redshirt freshman Natalia Riviera, competing as an individual, is tied for 72nd at 161 (75-86)
