Men's Tennis Hosts Final Non-Conference Match

JACKSONVILLE – North Florida men's tennis returns home to close out the regular season as it hosts FAU.

LAST TIME: North Florida and the Owls have not met since 2015 when the Ospreys grabbed a 4-3 win on their home courts.

  • North Florida claimed its second straight ASUN Regular Season Title after going perfect in conference action.
  • Junior Sahil Deshmukh stayed perfect in conference play with a 6-0 mark in the No. 3 position and clinched both matches against Kennesaw and Lipscomb last week. He owns a 12-7 dual match record overall.

  • The Owls just faced off with two ASUN foes in NJIT and USC Upstate where they shut out each opponent.
  • Gabriel Sidney leads all players with 15 wins across the No. 2-5 spots, while Thomas Bugeaud is right behind with 13.
  • In doubles play, Sidney pairs up with Remi Chancerel for a 12-5 mark and winners of the last seven of 10. The pair is ranked 78th in the latest ITA Doubles Poll.
  • Last season, the Owls picked up the No. 3 seed, the highest seed in program history, for the Conference USA Tournament. FAU finished with a 17-6 regular season record which marked the third most victories in program history.
