JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida men's tennis continues its home stand as it hosts ETSU on Tuesday and concludes the week against Middle Tennessee on Thursday.
QUICK HITS
- North Florida had a successful week with a 4-3 win against College of Charleston and then an ASUN-opening 5-2 win against conference rival, FGCU, on Friday.
- UNF got revenge on the Eagles after falling to them in the ASUN tournament last spring.
- This year, the Ospreys grabbed the doubles point at the No. 1 position and No. 2 spots.
- Jefta Kecic then went on to win in the No. 1 position and now has a 6-11 overall singles record. He was also the deciding match against the Cougars on Wednesday.
- Muscheites and Deshmukh both picked up wins against FGCU and currently hold six dual match singles victories.
- North Florida moves to 6-6 in spring competition and 1-0 in conference play.

- The Buccaneers are coming off a 5-2 loss to No. 45 Georgia State this past weekend and continue spring play 6-5.
- Last season, ETSU won the 2017 SoCon championship. Previous, the Bucs captured eight straight ASUN tournament titles from 2007-2014.
- Senior Robert Herrera brings leadership to the Buccaneers as the only senior on the roster and is 6-4 in spring play.
- Three players have seven singles victories this season, with junior Sergi Fontcuberta leading the way at the No. 2 spot.
- Herrera and Fontcuberta team up in doubles play and are currently 4-1.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE
- The Blue Raiders dropped to 11-3 on the season this past weekend after losing to No. 22 Tulane 5-2.
- Senior Gian Issa suffered his first loss of the spring season against Tulane and has a dual record of 13-1.
- Freshman Chris Edge and junior Gonzalo Morell Raschiatore both have 10 dual singles wins and four losses.
- Edge pairs with sophomore Tom Moonen in doubles action and are 11- 2 so far this season.
- The doubles duo earned a No. 48 spot in the ITA rankings for the first time in February.
