Men's Tennis Heads On the Road for Three-Game Swing

Men's tennis travels to UCF, LSU and South Alabama

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – The North Florida men's tennis team hits the road to face three opponents throughout the week. The Ospreys face UCF on Wednesday, then travel to Baton Rouge to play LSU and finish the stretch on Sunday against South Alabama.

LSU:
  • The Tigers suffered a 4-3 loss to Rice on Sunday, making their record now 5-3.
  • LSU is led by Junior Nikola Samardzic and sophomore Rafael Wagner. Samardzic had a successful campaign last season with a total of 24 wins and Wagner earned 15 wins in singles play.
  • Wagner teams up with sophomore Agie Moreno in doubles play and are currently undefeated at 3-0.

WHEN: Feb. 11 – 11:00 a.m.
THE SERIES: UNF leads 6-3
South Alabama:
  • The Jaguars are currently 1-2 after a 5-2 loss to Pepperdine on January 28.
  • South Alabama began the season by welcoming three new players to the roster.
  • Sophomores Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol both had strong fall campaigns as Cloes finished 7-3 in singles play and Marzol earned a 6-2 singles mark.
  • Senior Olivier Gingras brings leadership for the Jaguars as he is the only senior on the roster.

North Florida returns back to home court on Friday, Feb. 16 as it takes on Georgia State.
