
Four Ospreys Score in Double-Figures in Tough Loss at Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – Four Ospreys scored in double-figures as the North Florida women's basketball team concluded the non-conference portion of its schedule on Friday afternoon in an 82-69 loss at Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss.

Inside the First Half
The teams opened the game with a high-scoring first ten minutes as the Ospreys and Rebels were locked in a tie at 27 after the first quarter. Emanuel-Wright paced UNF with 13 points in the quarter and the Ospreys were 9-of-10 at the free throw line while Ole Miss connected on six treys.

Emanuel-Wright buried a three-pointer with 7:58 left in the second quarter to give the Ospreys a 30-29 lead. The Rebels responded with a 7-0 rally to lead by six with six minutes left in the half. The teams traded points the remaining six minutes as Ole Miss took a 50-44 lead into the locker room.

Inside the Second Half
The Rebels extended their lead to as many as 13 points in the third quarter while outscoring UNF 15-12 in the quarter. Bond scored five quick points to begin the fourth quarter and trim the Rebel lead to 65-61. Ole Miss held the Ospreys to two points in the next six minutes and stretched their lead to 76-63 with 2:51 remaining.

A pair of layups from Ty Purifoy made the score 78-67 with 59 seconds remaining. The Ospreys tried to cut into the deficit by fouling and extending the game, but couldn't close the margin as the Rebels held on for an 82-69 victory.
