About the Ospreys
North Florida (1-5-1) suffered a 1-0 loss to Stetson on Saturday in the ASUN Conference season opener. Stetson netted the only goal of the game in the 85th minute off a corner kick.
Juanes Fajardo generated a career high 10 saves in the match. Sophomore forward,
Adrian Nunez, leads the Ospreys with four goals and eight points on the year, while
Micah Smoak has found the back of the net twice. Three different UNF players have provided an assist.
Scouting the Competition
The Panthers (3-0-3) tied Charlotte, 2-2 in double overtime, on Saturday in their second Conference USA game of the season. FIU netted the first goal 43 second into the match before tying the game at the 57 minute mark. Santiago Patino fronts the Panthers with six goals and 14 points, averaging a goal a game. Inigo Sagarduy holds a team-best three assists and has provided a goal. Seven players have found the back of the net for FIU.
Series History
The all-time series between the two teams in knotted up at 2-2. The Ospreys have taken the last two meetings by a combined two goals. UNF tied the series with a 4-3 victory at home last season.
