JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis shut out NJIT to celebrate senior day on Saturday morning at the UNF Tennis Courts.

- With the victory, North Florida secures a semifinal spot in the ASUN Tournament after earning a first-round bye. The Ospreys can clinch the regular seasonNorth Florida grabbed the doubles point with a win in the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. The Ospreys just dropped one game in each match for the victory. 
- Kinga Gartner clinched the match with her 6-2, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 match.
- Irina Karangozishvili and Quetzali Vazquez are both on seven-match win streaks, while sophomore Rafaela Gomez and junior Luise Intert are at six straight.
- Gomez gets her 13th singles win of the season and is now 9-2 in the No. 2 position.

"The girls put on a show today from start to finish. Mich and Q are extremely special seniors and everyone played their hearts out for those two. We were able to stay calm and composed during challenges and come out on top. This win secures us a spot in the semifinals of the ASUN tournament which is what we have talked about over the past few weeks. We have to continue to get better this week and go to FGCU for the regular season title. I want to once again thank Mich and Q for all they have done for this program.
