- UNF picked up a win against No. 23 FAU in the Owls Kickoff Classic weekend.
- Sopohomore Dominica Cocuzza led the team last week with seven hits, including two doubles, while recording four runs and four RBI.
- In the circle, Logan Green had a stellar weekend with a 0.74 ERA with three complete games tossed. She recorded seven strikeouts, four walks and two unearned runs.
- The Ospreys rank second in the conference in stolen bases (15) and walks (17), while landing fourth in hitting with a .264 average.
- Freshman Kayla McGory had a great collegiate opening weekend with five hits and two RBI as well as three stolen bases.
- Navia Penrod has a team-high five runs scored with four stolen bases, while knocking in three runs.

OPPONENT QUICK HITS
- Eastern Illinois beat two opponents 10-0 in its opening weekend and went 3-1 to start.
- A total of six Panthers are hitting above .400 so far in 2017. At the plate, EIU is hitting .370 with 40 hits, 13 for extra bases, 12 walks and 24 RBIs. Freshman outfielder Mia
Davis leads the squad with a .538 batting average in four starts. She has tallied seven hits, a double and four RBIs
- Georgia State outscored its opponents 21-8 last weekend, while recording 35 hits, including four doubles.
- Two Panthers are batting above .400, as junior catcher Ivie Drake leads the way hitting .455 on the season. Sophomore utility Arden Jobe is also hitting over .400 with a .429 batting average in four games played.
- Kansas is off to a 5-0 start to the season, marking the second time in the last three years that KU has jumped out to a perfect 5-0 record to open the season. The Jayhawks beat conference foe Stetson, 4-0 last week.
- KU registered 46 hits, including 21 for extra bases, a .701 slugging percentage and a .471 on-base percentage. At the plate, the Jayhawks lead the Big 12 Conference with a .362 batting average. Kansas has also recorded the most hits (46), runs scored (44), doubles (10) and home runs (11) in the league. Seven Jayhawks are hitting above .400 on the year, including four starters.
- SC State played at Kennesaw State's opening weekend tournament and was 0-4 in its outings.
-Collectively, the Lady Bulldogs have recorded a .146 batting average in four games with 12 hits, including a pair of long balls, and five walks. Senior utility Tamaya McQueary is hitting a team-high .400 with two hits in five at-bats.
- South Dakota State is a first-time opponent for the Ospreys. The Jacks lone win came against Toldeo in the Northern Iowa Dome Tournament.
-Offensively, SDSU is batting .268 with 33 hits, including five home runs, 10 walks and 16 RBIs. Sophomore infielder Yanney Ponce leads the team with a .462
batting average after five starts. She has recorded six hits, including a pair of doubles, and two RBIs.
LOOKING AHEAD
North Florida has a tough schedule for the next week as it heads out on the road to take on Alabama, who is ranked No. 5 in the latest NFCA poll, on Wednesday before trekking to Mississippi State for the February Freezer.
