Ospreys Battle Lipscomb In ASUN Quarterfinals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball opens the 2017 ASUN Tournament on Thursday when it faces fourth seeded Lipscomb in the quarterfinals.

- The Ospreys look to pick up their first ASUN Tournament win since November 16th, 2012 when they defeated FGCU in a five-set match.
- Following her ASUN Freshman Of The Week honor, Devyn Wheeler enters the tournament with a team best 283 kills on the season, which sits sixth in the league. Her 168 kills holds fifth in conference games.Â
- UNF continues its strong year on the block. Alana Shoff has 123 rejections to pace the ASUN, while also moving into the top 10 in the single-season record book for the Ospreys.Â
- Ashley LaBorde enters Thursday with 514 digs, which leads the league and also sits fifth in the North Florida single-season record book in digs.
- Katarina Raicevic tops UNF with 32 aces, which puts her second in the conference. She also has 20 aces in league play, which tops the ASUN.

- Lipscomb comes in with a 15-12 record after falling in straight sets to FGCU before taking a four-set win over Stetson on Saturday.
- Carlyle Nusbaum enters the match coming off of a strong regular season where she led the ASUN with 479 kills, which sits 11th in the NCAA. She also has 5.15 kills per set ranking fourth in the nation.
- North Florida looks to flip the script against Lipscomb as it trails in the series 18-3. This will be the first meeting between the two teams in the ASUN Tournament.
- If the Ospreys can take down the Bisons, they would move onto Friday's semifinals to battle the top seed Kennesaw State at 6 p.m.
