JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball closed the 2017 regular season with a dominant three-set win over NJIT on senior day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening stanza, the two teams traded points leading to a 6-all tie as Wheeler picked up two early kills.
- Both teams went on a run leading to a 16-15 North Florida lead late in the set before the Ospreys closed on a 9-2 stretch led by Griffey's two aces and a kill to win the set 25-17.
- After trading an early 3-3 tie, UNF raced out on an 8-3 run to take an 11-6 lead and never look back inset two.
- The Highlanders made a quick run to come within one at 12-11, but the Ospreys rattled off a 9-2 run to take the set 25-17. North Florida held NJIT to .062 hitting.
- The Ospreys opened the third stanza on an 11-4 run and holding a lead it never relinquished en route to a dominant 25-10 set win.
- North Florida hit a match-best .400 while holding NJIT to .000 in the final set.
QUICK HITS
- UNF hit .306 in the match which is its third best hitting percentage of the season.
- Shoff had six blocks in the win to move her into a tie for ninth in UNF single season blocking with 123 rejections. Shoff also sits in a tie for fifth in single season block assists with 106 on the year.
- With her 13 digs tonight, LaBorde moved to fifth in the single-season record book with 514 digs.
