The short story: The North Florida women's golf team improved 11 shots from their morning to afternoon rounds on Monday's opening day of play at the Idle Hour Collegiate Championship hosted by Mercer. Junior newcomer Kaye Kwon was the squad's leading performer posting rounds of 78-76=154.

FIRST TEE
- Kaye Kwon posted the team's best score in both the morning (78) and afternoon (76) sessions. Her total of 154 is good enough to rank T15
- Freshman Mindy Herrick matched Kwon's opening round performance of 78 followed by a second round 80 to sit T31 (158). Sophomore Teresa Conroy followed an opening round 82 with a team best matching second round 76 and finished tied with Herrick in 31st
- Senior Courtney Cobb is tied for 43rd at 161 after rounds of 83-78, while sophomore Sydney Shrader rounded out the Osprey lineup with scores of 83-80-163 (T50)
- Redshirt freshman Natalia Rivera, playing as an individual, ranks T68 after back-to-back rounds of 85
- The Ospreys posted a 36-hole total of 631 (321-310)
