Stetson Shuts Down Women's Soccer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Stetson took down North Florida women's soccer, 3-0, on a rainy Saturday evening at Hodges Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
CONFER'S CORNER
"I thought the girls played really well. We started a little slow in the first half and made some adjustments at halftime. I really think for 25 minutes in the second half we were all over them. We felt like one was going to come, but then they scored one and took a little bit of wind out of our sails. We had to push numbers forward at that point to make something happen. Stetson is a good team. They are organized and they move the ball well so we knew it was going to be a difficult game. These games between the two of us are always a good battle. At the end of the day they were more clinical in the final third than we were. We had our chances, but the stat that matters is the goal that goes in. Now we regroup and get ready for Florida Gulf Coast."
