Meet Notes
The Matchup: North Florida (1-5) will be fighting for their second win of the season against a solid Campbell squad that boasts a 7-4 overall record and will host UNCW next week before closing out its regular season. Though both teams match up very well in the distance races, Campbell may be particularly vulnerable in the backstroke and breaststroke matchups. Both relays (200 medley and the 200 free), the 200 free, and the 200 IM could prove to be additional events ripe for Osprey wins.
All-Time Series: While the Ospreys lead the all-time series 8-5 although the Fighting Camels have won five of the last six meetings. North Florida has failed to out-swim Campbell in over 5 years with their last victory coming back in October of 2011.
Last Time Out: Last Saturday, North Florida shed a handful of uncharacteristic performances that inevitably lead to a 197.5-63.5 loss atGeorgia Southern. However,
Amber Pearce,
Sarah Frantz, and
Marinda Kitchen all recorded 2
nd place finishes and Frantz's performance was a career best 11:06.72 in the 1000 Free.
