STATESBORO, Ga. – The 2017 portion of the North Florida swimming schedule commences on Saturday with a visit to Georgia Southern for a CCSA matchup. The duel meet with be the first of two before CCSA Championships next month.

Meet Notes
The Matchup: Both Georgia Southern and North Florida go into Saturday's meet seeking their second win of the 2016-17 season. For the Ospreys it will be the first action of the new calendar year while the Eagles will be competing for the second time in 2017 after a meeting with Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) on Friday night.
All-Time Series: The Eagles have won three of the last four meetings against the Ospreys including a 171-90 decision last year in Jacksonville. North Florida's last victory in the series came during 2012-13 season, topping Georgia Southern, 142-101. The all-time series is square at 8-8 and the two schools have met every year since 2000.
Last Time Out: The meet will be the first competition for North Florida since the Florida Tech Invite on Nov. 18-20. As a team, the finished second overall with 823.50 points. The highlight of the meet came when freshman
Francesca Vandersluis broke the 100 breaststroke school record with a time of 1:03.98. Classmate
Jacqueline Barklund swam the fifth fastest time in school history in the 100 backstroke.
