CONWAY, S.C. - Georgia Tech's hot hitting was too much for North Florida volleyball as the Yellow Jackets took the match in straight sets in the first match of the Chanticleer Classic on Friday afternoon.

Carinne Turner - 12 Kills
Gabby O'Connell - 10 Kills, .259 Hit % and nine digs

How It Happened
Tied 7-7 in set one, a kill by Georgia Tech gave it the lead for good as the Yellow Jackets claimed set one, 25-19. With the score knotted at seven in the second set, three straight points by the Yellow Jackets gave them the momentum they needed throughout the set to win 25-22. Set three was a back and forth battle that featured six tied scores and three lead changes. Leading 18-17, Georgia Tech used to 4-0 run to take a 21-18 lead and capped off the set 25-20 on a service ace.

QUICK HITS
- This was the first straight set loss for the Ospreys.
- Morgan Van Alstine tallied a solo put back to now lead the Atlantic Sun in solo blocks with eight.
- Kimberly Ferguson led the defense with 15 digs and tallied an ace, while Turner recorded the other ace for UNF.
