Cohen Resigns, Named Head Women's Tennis Coach at Oklahoma

JACKSONVILLE - Audra Cohen, who led North Florida women's tennis to four NCAA Tournament appearances, has resigned her post as she was named the head coach at the University of Oklahoma on Thursday.
"Audra has done a fantastic job with building our program at North Florida," said Athletics Director Lee Moon. "She has coached her team to be a consistent name in the NCAA tournament and I am proud of where she has taken the program. Audra is a great competitor and teacher, and takes pride in her student athletes making sure they succeed on the court and in the classroom. She deserves the opportunity to be at the Power 5 level and I have no doubt that she will help Oklahoma to a Big 12 Championship as well as an NCAA berth with the resources that the Sooners will provide."

Cohen, a three-time Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year, led North Florida to a 77-27 overall record and a .740 winning percentage during her five seasons with the Ospreys. Cohen's teams dominated the league during her tenure at UNF, posting a 36-1 mark against conference foes. She coached three different players to Atlantic Sun Player of the Year honors while Ospreys earned 29 all-conference selections.
North Florida will begin a national search for her replacement immediately.
