JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team returns to the UNF Softball Complex for a three-game series with Lipscomb this Saturday and Sunday.
The Ospreys (15-20, 3-3 A-Sun) are coming off a doubleheader split with Florida A&M and sit in a tie for fourth place in the conference, while the Bisons (20-18, 5-4 A-Sun) are coming off of a series win against FGCU and are tied for second in the conference standings.
At Saturday's games, a limited number of North Florida softball socks will be given out to fans. On Sunday, the Ospreys will celebrate their 25
th season of softball following the game.
North Florida's offense features seniors
Shelby Duncan and Kate Mandigo, as well as freshman
Navia Penrod. Duncan ranks seventh in the conference in batting average (.354), while leading the conference in doubles with 13. Mandigo ranks 13
th in the Atlantic Sun in batting average (.330) and leads the team in on-base percentage (.395), while Penrod ranks 10
th in batting average (.339).
The Ospreys' bullpen features junior
Logan Green, who leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference in innings pitched (117.0) and fifth in complete games (7), while leading the team in ERA (3.53).
