Muscheites Clinches Second Straight Match for @OspreyMTen

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the second straight match, sophomore Lasse Muscheites clinched the win for North Florida men's tennis as the Ospreys downed visiting NJIT on Sunday morning at the UNF Tennis Courts.Â
North Florida moves to 8-10 overall and 3-1 in A-Sun action with just two conference matches left to play. NJIT drops to 8-5 on the year and 0-3 in league action. UNF hosts its final regular season match on Thursday, April 7 as FGCU comes to town.
The Ospreys got things started quickly with two 6-2 victories in doubles play. The freshmen duo of Sahil Deshmukh and Jonathan Deautriell grabbed a win in the No. 2 spot, before Muscheites and Andrey Alawi won in No. 3. Jack Findel-Hawkins and Julian Bradley were leading 5-3 in the top spot when the point was clinched.
Deautriell knocked off Zac Castagna, 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 5 position to give UNF a 2-0 lead before Findel-Hawkins defeated Markus Schultz, 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 position. Senior Julian Bradley followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 3 position before Muscheties clinched the Ospreys' third straight win with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles.
Deshmukh improved to 4-0 in league action as he won 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 4 position to close out the singles wins for UNF.
North Florida now looks to get revenge on the Eagles as FGCU defeated the Ospreys in the A-Sun Championship a year ago. FGCU is currently 14-5 on the year and undefeated in league play.
