JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team heads to Clearwater, Fla. to play six games in four days, five of which are in the USF Under Armour Showcase at the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex.
 
The Ospreys (8-12) are coming off of a 4-0 weekend in Orlando, Fla. in the UCF Tournament. North Florida has also won five of their last six games.
 
Leading the North Florida offense is freshman Navia Penrod, who leads the team in batting average (.373) and hits (25). Penrod ranks eighth in the conference in hits.
 
Also leading the lineup are seniors Katie Mandigo and Shelby Duncan. Mandigo ranks second on the team in batting average (.333), while Duncan leads the team in RBIs (15) and doubles with eight, which also ranks second in the conference.
 
In the Ospreys' bullpen, junior Katie Beth Gordon ranks first on the team and seventh in the conference in ERA (1.80). Junior Logan Green leads the team and ranks third in the conference in innings pitched (73.2).
 
North Florida's weekend starts with a neutral-site game with Penn Thursday at 11 a.m., before tournament play begins on Friday with games against Fairfield and Southern Illinois. They'll play Winthrop and Maine on Saturday before closing the weekend with a game at South Florida in Tampa.
