Yannick Zuern clinched the 4-3 victory against VCU in a suspended match during the USF Quad Invite on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the teams competed in singles matches with UNF holding a 1-0 lead when the match was postponed. Bradley clinched the No. 4 win, 6-2, 6-3 for the lone finish of the day. When the match resumed on Saturday, the singles matches were knotted at 3-all. Zuern grabbed his No. 2 match in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, while freshman
Sahil Deshmukh won in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. VCU took the No. 1, 3 and 5 matches.
In doubles play it came down to the No. 2 pair of Bradley and Zuern after
Lasse Muscheites won, 6-2 in the No. 1 pair and VCU tied it up with a win in the No. 3 spot. Bradley and Zuern battled to a 7-5 victory to take the match.
UNF resumes play on Sunday against No. 53 Pepperdine at 10 a.m. to wrap up the weekend.
