JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team faces No. 19 Tennessee and Monmouth this Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, at the UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys (11-15) are coming off of their final weekend of tournament play, going 3-2 in Clearwater, Fla. as part of the USF Under Armour Showcase.
The Volunteers (20-5) have won 10 straight games, while Monmouth (8-7) are coming off of a doubleheader split with Stetson.
The North Florida offense is led by freshman
Navia Penrod, as well as seniors
Katie Mandigo and
Shelby Duncan. Penrod leads the team in batting average (.364) and hits (32), while Mandigo is second on the team in hits (27) and RBIs (11). Duncan leads the team in both RBIs (18) and doubles (10).
The Osprey bullpen is led by junior
Logan Green, who leads the team in innings pitched, throwing six complete games so far this season.
