JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Softball team heads across the Sunshine State for a weekend tournament in Madeira Beach, Fla., hosted by Eastern Michigan University.
The Ospreys (0-5) look to bounce back against a tough weekend in Baton Rouge. They'll face Providence and Georgia Southern on Friday, Villanova on Saturday, followed by Manhattan and Marist on Sunday.
The offense is led by freshman
Navia Penrod, who ranks fourth in the conference and first on the team in batting average (.412). Senior
Shelby Duncan ranks second on the team and eighth in the league in average (.385).
The Ospreys pitching staff is led by junior
Logan Green, who ranks second in the league in innings pitched (17.2). Senior
Janet Snipe adds 12 innings in the circle.
