Ospreys Wrap Day 3 at ITA Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis wrapped up day three at the ITA Southeast Regional Championship as Jack Findel-Hawkins and Lasse Muscheites advance to the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket.
Junior Jefta Kecic also won his Round of 32 match up against Georgia's Jan Zielinski with a 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory to advance to the Round of 16. Kecic then faced off with Piotr Lomacki, who is ranked No. 31, from Miami. Kecic battled the nationally-ranked player and won the opening set, 4-6, but Lomacki chipped away at Kecic's intensity to win 6-4, 6-2 in the final two frames.
In doubles play, Findel-Hawkins and Muscheites faced ASUN foes in Kennesaw State's David Durham and Drew Wendel and squeezed out an 8-2 win against the Owls. The Osprey pair now takes on Florida's Maxx Lipman and Chase Perez-Blanco. Lipman is ranked with his other doubles partner, Elliott Orkin as the No. 38 pair, while Blanco is No. 76 in singles.
