Meet Notes

Last Time Out: The Ospreys are coming off one of the best overall team efforts in the Ian Coffey era after a second place finish at the Florida Tech Invite in late November. Almost every single swimmer established a season or career best in the four-day meet. A total of eight times were entered the program's all-time top 10 and Amy Taylor broke the school record in the 200 butterfly.

Standout Performers: Including the school record, Taylor turned in four first place finishes. All four times in those events (200 Free, 500 Free, 1650 Free and 200 Fly) were all listed in the program's all-time top 10. Chase Walker put her name amongst the school's top swimmers with three times in the top 10. Her swim in the 50 Freestyle was the third fastest of any Osprey swimmer ever.

NEWcomer Impact: Freshman Kaleigh Newcomb also made a splash at the Florida Tech Invite with the fifth fastest 100 backstroke time in school history (57.75). The time was the fastest at North Florida since 2010.

CCSA Top 24: The latest Coastal Collegiate Swim Association Top 24 times report has 33 individual times associated with North Florida swimmers. Freshman Kaleigh Newcomb has the fastest 50 backstroke time in league action this year. Taylor ranks in the top five in the 500 Free, 1000 Free, 1650 Free and the 200 Fly.

About Tulane: Saturday's meet will also be the first dual meet action since late November for the Green Wave. In the fall, Tulane went 4-2 in the fall with wins over Air Force, UALR, Vanderbilt and West Florida.
