Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - North Florida men's tennis junior Jack Findel-Hawkins grabbed two victories against No. 11 Wake Forest, but it was not enough to overcome the Demon Deacons as they took the 8-1 win.

"From an individual standpoint, we had some great performances," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "It was great to see Jack get a signature win in singles and doubles. I also was really pleased with how Yannick (Zuern) and Alberto (De Meo) competed. This match could not have prepared our team better for the match on Monday against Tennessee."

The match was formatted with eight singles competitions and four doubles matches. 

The No. 4 duo of Findel-Hawkins and Yannick Zuern picked up a 6-3 victory in No. 1 doubles against Skander Mansouri and Christian Serphim. It was the lone victory for the Ospreys as the Deacs took the doubles point. 

Wake Forest took a 7-0 lead before Findel-Hawkins downed the No. 26 player in the country, Mansouri, with a hard-fought, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (2) win in the top singles spot. Alberto De Meo had No. 110 Maksim Kan on the ropes in the No. 7 singles match, but could not overcome his opponent with a 5-7, 6-7 (1-7) loss. 

North Florida now travels to Tennessee for a 10 a.m. match on Monday.
