After back-to-back Florida A&M points, UNF used two attack errors to finish the set. The Ospreys' last point was the result of a Carinne Turner and Morgan Van Alstine block.
Â
Behind a seven-point run midway through the second set, UNF took a commanding 18-10 lead. Florida A&M attempted to trim the deficit, but UNF used another run to further distance itself. A six-point allowed the Ospreys to gain a 24-13 lead. Facing set point, Florida A&M stayed alive behind a seven-point spurt to make it 24-20. However, Hoff provided the Ospreys with the set-winning kill and UNF went up 2-0 in the match.
Â
In a close third set, UNF came back from a late four-point deficit as a Hoff kill put the Ospreys up 22-21. Florida A&M responded with a three-point run to regain the lead and make it 24-22. A Hoff kill and then consecutive blocks returned the lead to UNF, who held a 25-24 advantage. The teams fought over the last few points, and with Florida A&M up 29-28, a critical kill from Alyman sparked a match-ending three-point run.
