@OspreyVB Visits Florida A&M For Tuesday Night Match

Weekly Notes

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida volleyball plays its first mid-week match of the season on Tuesday night when the Ospreys head west on I-10 to Florida A&M. Match time is set for 6 p.m., at the Al Lawson Center.

"Florida A&M is a better team than what their record indicates," said head coach Steve Loeswick. "They have played some really good competition thus far, so we will have to be ready for the challenge of playing our first mid-week match on the road."

UNF comes off a perfect 3-0 weekend at its own Courtyard Mayo Classic, defeating Bethune-Cookman, Campbell and Florida Atlantic during home-opening weekend. As a result of her strong 4.20 kill-per-set performance, Carina Hoff was selected as the Tournament's MVP and then named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week earlier on Monday. Also joining Hoff with All-Tournament honors were Tessa Alyman and Courtney Miller.

Tuesday's match is the first of four straight-road matches for the Ospreys. UNF plays at The Citadel Tournament Friday and Saturday in Charleston, S.C.
