JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Women's Soccer team closes up their four-match road trip this weekend, facing FIU on Friday at 7 p.m. and Miami on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Ospreys (1-4-0) look to get back in the win column as they close out their four game road trip. Last weekend, the team dropped two nonconference games to Elon 1-0 and High Point 2-0.
"We face two good teams in FIU and Miami. I don't think they have the results they wanted, but they are still dangerous attacking teams," said coach
Robin Confer.
The Panthers (2-3-0) are coming off of a split weekend, losing to Ohio State before defeating Miami (OH).
The Hurricanes (1-4-0) also split their previous weekend, losing to FAU before beating Jacksonville.
The Ospreys back line anchors their defense, with defenders
Jenna Steininger,
Kendall Pollock and Gabrielle Ligouri leading the team in minutes.
On the offensive front, junior
Alexis Bredeau leads the forwards in minutes and has notched a goal this season, while senior
Ashley Carmean leads the midfield in minutes.
"Our defense has been strong this season only giving up five goals in five games," added Confer. "Now we just need to finish our chances in front of goal."
Both matches will feature live stats and a live stream, while Sunday's match at Miami can be viewed on ESPN3 or the WatchESPN app.
