JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida softball team makes the trip north to Nashville, Tenn., this weekend to take on Lipscomb at the Draper Diamond at Smith Stadium in Atlantic Sun conference play.
The Ospreys (24-21, 6-6 A-Sun) have just nine conference games left before the A-Sun Tournament and are currently fifth in the conference standings while Lipscomb (19-21, 5-4) sit one space ahead in a tie for third.
Junior
Stacy McClelland leads the lineup in batting average (.429), home runs (10), RBIs (34), slugging (.748) and on-base percentage (.521). Her batting average ranks first in the conference and her on-base percentage ranks second. McClelland is batting .609 in conference play.
Junior
Shelby Duncan ranks second on the team in batting average (.395) and ranks second in the conference in doubles (12). Duncan has hit .487 so far in conference play.
Senior
Kelly Wilson ranks third on the team in batting average (.314) and ranks second in the conference in stolen bases, successfully stealing on 26 of 29 attempts.
The Ospreys pitching staff looks to get back on track this weekend. Senior
Kaylie Wallace ranks seventh in the conference in ERA (3.02) while senior
Kayla Goff ranks sixth in the conference in strike outs (79).
The action starts Saturday with a doubleheader scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET and concludes with a single game scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
Saturday's games will be live streamed through A-Sun TV while live stats will be available for all three games in the series.
