FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Following a successful four-game home stand, the North Florida basketball team tips off a three-game road swing to close out non-conference play Tuesday against Arkansas in Bud Walton Arena at 7 p.m. (CT). The game will be broadcast live on the SEC Network+.
The Ospreys (10-4) enter the contest riding a four-game win streak after an impressive 87-70 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday night. The 10 victories match the all-time program record for non-conference wins in a season.Â
Against FAMU, junior Dallas Moore led the way finishing with 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Chris Davenport added 18 points including a 3-3 performance from long distance. Senior Trent Mackey continues to lead the nation in three-pointers having connected on 50 thus far this season.
Tuesday's game marks the first all-time meeting between UNF and Arkansas. The Ospreys are 0-12 all-time against teams from the SEC with the Razorbacks the second SEC opponent of the year for UNF after having played at LSU on Dec. 2.
Arkansas comes into the meeting with a 5-5 record having lost 69-66 in overtime to Mercer on Saturday. Dusty Hannahs leads the Razorbacks in scoring at 17.7 points per game while Moses Kingsley averages a double-double (15.5 ppg / 10.3 rpg).
North Florida will take a few days off for Christmas following the Arkansas game and then return to action Dec. 30 at VCU.
