HTMLPhoto GalleryJACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida swim team (1-4) wrapped up its 2015-16 home schedule this afternoon with a 180-91 loss to defending Coastal Collegiate Conference Champions, Florida Gulf Coast University (1-0). Prior to the meet, the Osprey honored its two seniors,
Janie Kennedy and
Amy Taylor.
Taylor, the reigning CCSA Swimmer of the Week, played first in the 200 freestyle with a season best time of 1:54.15. The time is the fastest of any Osprey this season. She also placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:08.97) and third in the 200 butterfly (2:12.30).
In her final home meet as an Osprey, Kennedy finished fourth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.43, just off her season best time of 55.32 last week against Campbell and NCA&T.
Kennedy and Taylor teamed up sophomore
Taylor Schmidinger and
Nicole Nesto to post the top 200 Freestyle relay time of the season, 1:42.60.
Sophomore
Amy Creech was able to put forth two her best swims of the season in the 50 and 100 freestyle. She turned in a time of 25.87 in the 50 Free, the fifth fastest time by an Osprey this year. In the 100 freestyle she finished with a time of 55.45.
The Ospreys will have next two weekends off before returning to the pool on the road at UNC Asheville on Nov. 7.
