GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Men's Tennis team completed their third day of competition at the USTA/ITA Regionals in Gainesville, Fla.

"Today was not our day. The results did not quite go our way but we played some quality opposition," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "However we are still in contention for the doubles title so we will look forward to battling tomorrow.

In doubles action, the team of Jack Findel-Hawkins and Yannick Zuern advanced to the quarterfinals, winning 8-5 in their Round of 16 match. The team of Julian Bradley and Jonathan Deautriell fell in their Round of 16 match 8-4.

In the main draw singles, Deautriell fell in his Round of 32 match in the main draw, 6-0, 6-2.

Findel-Hawkins advanced to the Round of 16 in the Consolation Draw, winning 6-0, 6-3, before falling 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-2. Also in consolation play was Zuern, who dropped his Round of 32 match 6-4, 6-1.

The action continues tomorrow with the fourth day of play from Gainesville.
