DeLAND, Fla. - The North Florida men's soccer team begins its six-game conference slate on Saturday when they travel to Stetson for a 7:00 p.m. match. The Ospreys enter league-play with a record of 3-3, the second-most wins among A-Sun schools.
The game will be the first for the Ospreys in 10 days and the first since a
1-0 victory over UCF last Wednesday. The Hatters enter A-Sun play with an overall record of 2-4-2 with one-goal victories over Elon and FIU. Saturday's contest can be viewed live on

Flashback Friday: The Ospreys pulled off only their second win in nine meetings against the Hatters with a
1-0, overtime win last season. Junior
Jon-Michael Vieira pushed a shot-save rebound into the back of the net securing the victory for North Florida at Hodges Stadium. The Ospreys statistically dominated the contest, holding a 14-5 advantage in shots and out-cornered the Hatters, 10-1. Goalkeeper
Brad Sienkiewicz only need to make two saves to preserve the shutout.
A-Sun Leaderboard: Sophomore
Simen Solstad and junior
Helge Pietschmann still find themselves tied for the Atlantic Sun lead in goals and assists respectively. The Ospreys, as a team, have 11 goals which rank fourth in the A-Sun and trail Stetson by just one. The Ospreys have played one less game than everyone in the league.
Ospreys Away From Home: With the cancelation of last Sunday's game, the Ospreys have not played at home since Aug. 31 and will conclude a five-game road swing on Saturday night. In the program's history, North Florida has played five or more straight games away from home six times. In 2006 they played seven games away from Hodges Stadium before their home opener on Sept. 24.
Common Opponents: The only common opponent between North Florida and Stetson so far this season is FAU. The Hatters played to a 1-1 draw in their fourth game of the season back on Sept. 7. The Ospreys erupted for five goals, in a 5-2 win over the Owls in the season opener at Hodges Stadium.
About Stetson: The Hatters are seeking their first win since Sept. 5 when they defeated FIU, 2-1. Stetson is fresh off a trip to Pennsylvania where the suffered a pair of one-goal losses to Lehigh and La Salle. Senior defender JJ Bostic leads the team with three goals in eight matches while a quartet of Hatters have found the back of the net twice this season. Largely because of an 8-2 loss to Duke, the Hatters lead the A-Sun in goals allowed this season with 20. Stetson was picked to finish fifth in the
2014 Atlantic Sun Preseason Coaches Poll in August after a 3-10-4 record in 2013.
