DeLAND, Fla. – The North Florida basketball team hits the road for the first time in Atlantic Sun Conference play Saturday when the Ospreys face Stetson the Edmunds Center at 3:15 p.m.
The Ospreys (6-9, 1-1) look to bounce back following a disappointing loss Wednesday against ASun newcomer Northern Kentucky. The Hatters will make their league home debut in the game bringing in a 4-9, 1-1 record into the contest after winning at Kennesaw State.
UNF and SU will be meeting for the 16th time with the Hatters holding a 10-5 advantage in the all-time series. North Florida has enjoyed some recent success having two of the last three.
Freshman Beau Beech has played well of late posting back-to-back career best performances of 17 points while also hauling down a personal best eight rebounds against NKU.
Senior Parker Smith is the Ospreys' top scorer at 15.0 points per game followed by junior Travis Wallace at 14.7. Wallace leads the team in rebounding with 5.1 per contest while senior Will Wilson tops the squad with 5.9 assists a game.
