JACKSONVILLE – The North Florida basketball team continues its three-game Atlantic Sun Conference home stand Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against Kennesaw State in UNF Arena.
The Ospreys (7-11, 2-3 ASun) look to get back on the winning track after dropping back-to-back games against FGCU and Mercer. Kennesaw State (2-14, 1-3) enters the match-up following a heartbreaking 99-92 triple overtime loss at Jacksonville on Thursday night.
Saturday's tilt marks the 31st meeting between UNF and KSU on the hardwood. UNF posted an 81-77 double overtime victory on Feb. 18 last year. Junior Travis Wallace is averaging 28 points and 8 rebounds per game in his career against the Owls.
On Thursday against Mercer, leading scorer Parker Smith (15.8 ppg) was held to just six points and Travis Wallace (14.6 ppg) saw his double-digit scoring streak halted at 14 games after finishing with eight points. Freshman Ray Rodriguez led the way for UNF scoring a career best 11 points highlighted by a trio of three-pointers.
