Ospreys And Dolphins Set To Square Off For Third Time In A-Sun Tournament Quarterfinals

Teams meet in Macon, Ga., on Wednesday, March 3, at 9 p.m.
The Ospreys are the No. 7 seed and JU the No. 2 seed, with the winner advancing to the semifinals against the winner of the Belmont (No. 3 seed)-Mercer (No. 6 seed) game on Friday, March 5, at 9 p.m. at the University Center.
“On August 24 we talked about playing for championships,” said UNF head coach Matthew Driscoll. “We explained that you can't play in the tournament unless you are invited as one of the eight teams and that consists of your body of work throughout the regular season. We did just that and now have put ourselves back on the board like the other seven schools with a chance to win the A-Sun post season conference championship.”
The championship game is on Saturday, March 6, at 6 p.m. and is televised on ESPN2. The winner of A-Sun Championship earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Tournament. This is the first year that UNF is eligible for the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament after finishing its four-year reclassification period last year.
