UNF faces Lipscomb Friday and Belmont Sunday
The Ospreys face Lipscomb on Friday, Feb. 5, at 8 p.m. ET and Belmont on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m. ET. Both games can be heard on AM 1320 WBOB and 103.7 FM in Jacksonville or on-line at 1320WBOB.com. They can also be seen on www.ASun.TV.
UNF is 10-12 overall and 5-7 in A-Sun play, while Lipscomb is 12-10 and in second place in the conference at 9-4. Belmont is 13-10 overall and 8-5 in league action, currently third in the A-Sun. Belmont plays host to JU on Friday before facing UNF.
“We look forward to playing at two of the toughest places in basketball for the visiting team,” said UNF head coach Matthew Driscoll. “Both schools historically have done well within the league and we embrace the challenge ahead of us especially without the services of Stan Januska. We enter the final month with complete focus on what's at hand and realize that every possession of every game is critical for every college team.”
Januska, a senior and UNF's leading scorer, is out because of a bruised lung and ribs suffered from a hard fall during the JU game on Jan. 29. He is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
After the road games in Nashville, North Florida returns home to take on Stetson on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 7:45 p.m. and then Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. Both games are at UNF Arena and the second games of double-headers with the Osprey women.
Single-game tickets for basketball games are $10 for adults and $8 for youth 17-and-under and senior citizens 55-and-older. Children 2-and-under and any current UNF student with a valid Osprey1 Card are admitted free. Student guest passes for those events are $5 and limited to one per student.
