The Ospreys are coming off a Saturday night loss to Lipscomb and are 9-9 overall and 4-4 in A-Sun play, while JU is 8-8 overall and 5-3 in the league.
“We are extremely excited to get back on the court and continue to compete for conference wins,” said UNF head coach Matthew Driscoll. “This is an inter-city rivalry, but keeping that in perspective, the league is much more important in regards to standings.”
Because of the sellout, the UNF Athletic Department, in conjunction with The Boathouse, will host a men's basketball game viewing party at The Boathouse on Monday, Jan. 18. The Boathouse will open at 7:30 p.m. to watch the 8 p.m. game between the Ospreys and the Dolphins. The Boathouse features 10 televisions for easy viewing. In addition, The Boathouse will offer a special game night menu and $2 drafts.
After JU, UNF remains at home to take on USC Upstate on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7:45 p.m. at UNF Arena. The men's game is the second game of a home double-header with the UNF women who take on Upstate at 5:30 p.m.
“Getting back home is always great,” said Driscoll. “Completing the first half of the league schedule will give us good insight to where we stand and the adjustments we will have to make leading into the last 10 games prior to the A-Sun post season tournament.”
Single-game tickets for basketball games are $10 for adults and $8 for youth 17-and-under and senior citizens 55-and-older. Children 2-and-under and any current UNF student with a valid Osprey1 Card are admitted free. Student guest passes for those events are $5 and limited to one per student. If you are unable to attend the games they can be seen on ASun.tv.
