JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 33 East Tennessee State on Saturday at the UNF Tennis Complex.

 

The Ospreys (9-9, 3-5 Atlantic Sun Conference) lost their third straight to a ranked opponent. It was the first 7-0 loss UNF has recorded this season.

 

Senior Eduaro Pereira took ETSU's 67^th-ranked Enrique Olivares to a tiebreaker in the first set of their No. 1 singles match but couldn't prevail, falling 7-6 (3), 6-3.

 

Junior Javier Ferrin played ETSU's Predrag Burmazovic tough in their No. 2 singles match, but it wasn't enough as he fell 6-4, 6-2. The loss snapped Ferrin's two match winning streak.

 

The Ospreys will return to action at 2 p.m. on Friday with a conference match against Mercer in Macon, Ga.
