Box Score WICHITA, Kan. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team had all cylinders running on Friday in a 4-1 win over Oral Roberts in a non-conference dual at the Wichita State Shocker Invitational.
UNF (8-5) was dominant in the match, sweeping the doubles matches and winning all the singles matches but two. The win extended the Ospreys' non-conference match winning streak to three.
Junior
Javier Ferrin led the Ospreys at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 straight set win over ORU's Alexander Dargel. Ferrin has now won seven of his last eight matches.
In the No. 3 match, senior
Yuiti Lopes won his second straight with a 6-2, 6-4 decision over the Golden Eagles' Denis Troyke. Freshman
Graham Edgar helped with the cause at No. 4 singles with a 6-4, 7-5 victory to bring his individual record to 8-5 this season.
At No. 3 doubles, Ferrin and freshman
Adrian Escarate were dominant in their match, picking up an 8-0 victory over Balazinec and Deslic. Lopes and freshman
Alejandro Argumendo were 8-3 victors in their No. 1 doubles match, while senior
Eduardo Pereira and sophomore
Kurt Gattiker picked up an 8-5 win in the No. 2 match.
The Ospreys will return to action at 11 a.m. ET tomorrow against Arkansas-Little Rock at the Shocker Invitational in Wichita.
