Senior Bary Rasmussen will be honored before Friday's match
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's volleyball team will close out its conference schedule this weekend at home against Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson.
The Lady Ospreys (11-14, 9-9 Atlantic Sun Conference) will begin the slate with a 7 p.m. match against FGCU on Friday. Senior Bary Rasmussen will be honored before the contest as part of Senior Night. UNF will take on Stetson at 3 p.m. on Saturday and will recognize the student- athletes' family members prior to the match.
Florida Gulf Coast (19-7, 17-1), which clinched its second-straight A-Sun regular season title, will be a formidable foe for the Lady Ospreys. The Eagles had won 11 consecutive matches before falling to Florida International on Tuesday night and haven't lost a conference match since an Oct. 3 setback to Belmont.
FGCU defeated UNF, 3-0, on Oct. 11 in Fort Myers, Fla. Sophomore Danielle Lerch and Rasmussen led the Lady Ospreys with five kills each, and UNF was held to a .119 hitting percentage, while the Eagles hit .370 and were paced by Ana Kokanovic's 16 kills.
Stetson (4-22, 1-17) has lost four-straight and is 2- 8 on the road. The Hatters are coming off a loss to Campbell (3-0) last Friday in Buies Creek, N.C. The Lady Ospreys defeated Stetson, 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25- 18, 25-20) on Oct. 10 in DeLand, Fla. Sophomore Kaley Read had a dominant performance with 26 kills, 15 digs and a .400 hitting percentage.

Recap
Watch Out For: Freshman Lizzy Manno has stepped up her game on defense. She has been UNF's digs leader over the past four matches with 52 total and 3.06 per set. Manno has finished with double-digit digs in her last three matches, including a career-high 21 digs against East Tennessee State on Oct. 31.
Notables: Junior Agata Dawidowicz continues to lead the nation aces per set (0.84) ... she is on pace to finish with at least 93 aces, which would break UNF's single season record of 91, set by Teri Taylor in 1992 ... freshman Julie Fye is averaging 9.53 assists per set over the last three matches ... Fye is already 10th in the UNF career record book for assists with 267 ... with 196 career block assists, Rasmussen needs just one more to move into seventh place alone on UNF's all-time list ... she is 10th all-time in UNF history with 0.79 career blocks per set ... with nine conference wins so far, the Lady Ospreys already have their best conference win total since joining Division I in 2005 ... if UNF was eligible for postseason, it would already have a spot in the A-Sun Tournament as the No. 6 seed ... with a win against Stetson on Saturday, UNF will have finished the regular season with a win at home for seven of the past eight years.
