
Indoor track concludes Tiger Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C.- The University of North Florida women's indoor track and field team concluded its final day of the Tiger Invitational held in Clemson, S.C. with a couple of top-10 finishes.
Junior Emily Kohler had the highest individual placing for the Lady Ospreys, finishing the high jump tied for fourth place, after jumping 1.63m. Amy Stroder had another top-10 finish in the high jump, going 1.63m tying for eighth place. Elise Trexler wasn't too far behind, finishing the high jump tied for 14th with a distance of 1.58m.
Stroder also competed in the 200m dash where she finished 15th with a time of 26.33, just two seconds shy of first place. Freshman Charisma Anderson joined Stroder in the 200m dash crossing the finish line in 27.07, which gave her 32nd place.
Lindsay Tafs decided to do a little bit more running than Stroder and Anderson, earning 13th place in the 400m dash. Tafs crossed the finish line with an overall time of 59.79. Golden Creavy and Evelyn Moore both competed in the 800m run finishing less than a second apart. Creavy earned herself seventh place after finishing in 2:21.04, while Moore was right behind her taking 10th place with a total time of 2:21.89.
The Lady Ospreys return to action with the men's squad Feb. 16-17 for the Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship.
