UNF faces Stetson, FGCU this weekend at Hodges Stadium
Oct. 11, 2007
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's soccer team will begin its most important stretch of the season on Friday afternoon when it begins the first of three games in the River City that will help solidify the front- runner for the Atlantic Sun Conference regular-season title.
The Ospreys, who are tied with Jacksonville for first place atop the A-Sun standings, face off against third- place Stetson and fifth-place Florida Gulf Coast this weekend at Hodges Stadium before taking on their cross-town rival next Wednesday at JU. FGCU is a first-year program and in its first season as an A-Sun member.
UNF's last five games have been decided by 1-0 final scores, with the Ospreys winning three. Eight of UNF's nine matches this season have been decided by a single goal.
